Playing the didgeridoo
Do you need to control your breathing better? Do you want to recover faster after returning from work?
The didgeridoo (read didjeridu) is an Australian Aboriginal instrument. The Aborigines (the original inhabitants of Australia) discovered that termites could make hollow eucalyptus branches ring with a stream of breath. According to them, we learn to play the didgeridoo by using what is known as the endless (or eternal) breath. Players and listeners alike will be surprised by the pleasant resonance and deep tones. We use plastic trumpets to practice and learn to play the basic tone.

Playing the djembe
The djembe (read djembe) is a type of African drum native to Mali. It is a very popular instrument because of its sound. Playing it regularly with alternating hands leads to tension release, calming and harmonization of the brain hemispheres.
We learn:
- playing different rhythms on the body first
- then on the drums
- play and sing simple melodies together
At the same time we are teaching djembe at the ZUŠ of PhDr.Zbyněk Mrkos
